Revitalization with respect for history, Open to new relationships, work and culture
A place that breathes history. In the heart of Tychy, on the site of the former Civic Brewery, an ensemble of spaces has been created that does not reconstruct the past – but continues it. Tichauer is not one building, but a cohesive organism: courtyards, halls, galleries, restaurants and offices – all connected in a rhythmic, industrial o novel. Brick. Steel. Light. Here every detail works for atmosphere. Here you can be a guest, an organizer, a host.
Industrial soul Modern layout Full availability
40,000 sq. m. of diverse spaces lead through a complex of buildings and plazas. The main courtyard is a central hub connecting the historic buildings: Malt House, Brewhouse and modern additions. It can be accessed directly from the train station – from here, within a few steps, you can find yourself in an open space capable of accommodating 3,000 people.
Traffic moves smoothly – without rigidly defined routes. Passages, thresholds and height differences become landmarks in a space devoid of a single dominant.
The original structures have been preserved: brick, steel, concrete – without excess. The new elements are light, structurally clear, functional. Where a change was needed – lighting, access, installations – contemporary solutions were used, but not visible at first perception.
This is an architecture that does not imitate, but complements. Light plays a key role – it guides the user, accentuates proportions, and sets the rhythm of function.
A space that works with you
Tichauer is an open-architecture space – ready to adapt as needed. Each space can function independently or as part of a larger scenario – an exhibition, a conference, a city event.
Tichauer Art Gallery
2,000 sq. m. of exhibition space with independent halls (Lager, Dark), high interiors and full technical facilities.
Tichauer’s location in the city centre, in close proximity to the railway, park and residential development, gives the site the character of a passageway – not an enclosed building, but a space open to continuous movement.
The greenery around the courtyard – low, selective, local – does not compete with the architecture. It provides relaxation, introduces seasonality and rhythm. All elements of the outdoor area are integrated into the functional layout of the buildings.
Architecture of presence
Tichauer does not impose himself – he allows himself to be. He does not accentuate functions, but the structure from which they arise. Presence here is not tied to a specific role – one can work, visit, simply pass through.
It is a place that does not try to be spectacular. Its strength is its withdrawal – design decisions are subordinated to material, light and context. The architecture serves, it does not explain itself. It persists – open to the future.
Tichauer rental spaces is more than just a space it is a scenario
